ChōkōGoldPrivacy policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
ChokoGold ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit chokogoldofficial.com, make a purchase, or sign up for our emails and texts, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect only what we need to serve you, we never sell your personal information, and you can opt out at any time.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you place an order, create an account, join our email list, or sign up for texts, we collect things like your name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address, and order details.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address, and general location). This helps us keep the site working, prevent fraud, and improve the experience.
Payment information. Payments are processed securely by our payment processors (Shopify Payments and Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
How We Use Your Information
- To process and deliver your orders, send order confirmations, and provide customer support
- To send marketing emails and text messages if you have opted in
- To improve our website, products, and service
- To prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations
Email and Text Message Marketing
If you opt in to our email list, we send occasional emails about products, offers, and the ChokoGold story. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
If you opt in to text messages, you agree to receive recurring automated promotional and personalized marketing text messages (such as cart reminders and offers) from ChokoGold at the phone number you provided. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to cancel at any time
- Reply HELP for help, or contact us at support@chokogoldofficial.com
We use Klaviyo to manage our email and SMS programs. Your contact details and order history are shared with Klaviyo solely so we can send you the messages you signed up for. See Klaviyo's privacy policy at klaviyo.com/legal/privacy for details.
Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only with the service providers who make our business run, and only for the purposes described in this policy: Shopify (store platform and order processing), Stripe and Shopify Payments (secure payment processing), Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing, for subscribers only), shipping carriers, and analytics providers.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not work properly without them.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws, and the EU/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@chokogoldofficial.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
To stop marketing at any time: click unsubscribe in any email, reply STOP to any text, or email us.
Data Retention and Security
We keep order records as long as needed for tax, legal, and customer service purposes. We use industry standard safeguards (encryption in transit, access controls, trusted processors) to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we treat your data the way we treat our ingredients: nothing hidden, nothing wasted.
Children's Privacy
Our site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
